We would like to invite you to an English-speaking weekend with 2 non-native English tutors and some other learners of English in a wonderful, soothing environment.

What can you expect from the weekend?

• You can improve your fluency in English in a relaxed, friendly, totally ‘out-of-classroom’ environment through having a lot of opportunities to have conversations with us and each other
• You can meet other people who also learn English as a foreign language. (We expect people who can make themselves understood in everyday situations.)
• You will get to know and perceive some hidden treasures of the Hungarian countryside and landscape
• You will have a pleasant retreat in English – we will take a walk in the neighbourhood (depending on the weather) and enjoy the peace and quiet of the monastery and play games in English

Where

In the beautiful and peaceful old monastery of Majk (about 70km from Budapest, near Oroszlány). Accommodation in detached houses for  4 / 6 people, in double and 4-bed bedrooms. Every building comes with a small garden.

When

Departure from Majk Dec 4, Sunday, around 4.00 pm

What to pack

Warm and comfortable winter clothes, waterproof shoes suitable for longer walks or hiking. Please take pot luck (some food and drink) – we will share the food and have our meals in a nice atmosphere.

Payment

HUF 15.000 + travel costs (appr. HUF 3000).

If you have decided to apply, please make sure you pay a non-refundable deposit of HUF 5.000 until November 27 which covers the accommodation for one person.

Travel

Ride-share. If you are coming from Budapest by car and are willing to give us a ride, please let us know and we will share the costs. Alternatively, it is possible to take a coach to Majkpuszta.

If you are from the countryside, you are also welcome but you will need to arrange your journey there and back.

Deadline of application

If you would like to attend, please call us until 27 November in order for us to book our accommodation. We can receive a minimum of 3 and maximum of 8 applications in order of payments. See contact below.
